Privacy Policy

Wandr (“Wandr”, “we”, “us”) is a travel-companion app that helps you plan trips, track expenses, and share plans with the people you travel with. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Wandr you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo to create and identify your account.
• Trip content. The trips, expenses, places, lists, notes, and receipt photos you add are stored so they sync across your devices and trip members.
• Location. When you choose to share your location with a trip, we store that location. Wandr never tracks your location in the background.
• Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can notify you of trip activity.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate Wandr: to store and sync your trips, to share content with the members you invite to a trip, to send notifications you opt into, and to keep your account secure. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Third-party services

Wandr relies on a small number of providers to function:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging) hosts your account and trip data.
• Google AI (Gemini) processes receipt photos you scan to auto-fill expense details. Receipt images are sent to Google for this purpose.
• Google Places powers search for places of interest you add to a trip.
• OpenStreetMap / Photon and Wikimedia provide location search and destination imagery.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

Sharing with trip members

Trips in Wandr are collaborative. When you invite someone to a trip, they can see and edit that trip's content — including expenses, places, and any location you choose to share. Only invite people you trust with that information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual trips, expenses, and other content at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.

Security

Your data is protected by Google's infrastructure and by access rules that limit each trip's content to its members. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

Wandr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
